Living away from family and dear friends, social media is my community and way to stay connected to them and keep up with life, but it's getting really nasty in there. I miss friends who've dropped off because of the online environment. I have been on it less myself, and no longer feel free to speak my mind as a fed. I know better but tend to read at least some of the comments on public posts, and almost always regret it. It's nice to hear what you've been up to, and who wouldn't be up for Halloween at any time of year?!

We missed you on Halloween! And I understand (and HATE HEARING THIS) I several friends who work for the gov currently being censored. *screams into the void.*

This line is the BEST. "I guess, I do love the act of creation, but I don’t want to be a slave to metrics, or algorithm updates, or cultural shifts that I have no interest in jamming my personality into." BEST.

I will support you in any choice you make because I am not a person who is online constantly, who posts things, or puts herself out there. I believe we all have have to do what is right for our mental health. I think travelling is amazing and seeing different places, experiencing life in real time is a blessing. I support you and can't for any book recommendations and the next Casquettte Girls book. Halloween in December is perfect. My black Christmas tree and the

Halloween ornaments on it thank you very much.

Today was a rough day and one email just improved my entire mood. I might be one of your oldest fans and feel this transition in my soul. I cant wait to age with you some more 🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰

I am so glad for this! (your mood improvement, not that we are all feeling this in our souls.) On the bright side, that means we are still feeling things!

I really like this and feel it so wholly. I miss the days of just posting random shit and not caring if it was aesthetic or not. When it was a place to see what random stuff friend were up to or stay in touch as people moved away.

The internet has become such a interwoven part of our lives, it feels difficult sometimes trying to find your way out but I'm glad you found your way.

I miss the old days of the internet. It felt easier to connect with like minded individuals and with no algorithm telling you what it thinks you like, it was more fun to explore and discover.

Now it just feels exhausting and repetitive. I’ve tried my best to step away from being online so much this year and I do feel better. I do miss the friends I made online however. It can feel exhausting trying to keep up with social media and with friends overseas to the point it can be difficult to stay connected.

This has been my experience but I know its probably different for everyone.

Ive been trying to reconnect with old friends this year and I hope the new year and will bring more reconnection.

I'm happy for you in your new step towards the internet and social media and I'll support you all the way ❤️

I think craving more privacy is good in a world of people who only want to know what you’re up to for disingenuous reasons. Not everyone needs access to all the things.

I’ve also moved away from posting things we’re doing on social media in the last few years. It’s refreshing to just be present & not worry about letting everyone else witness the moment, too.

That being said, I’m excited for more attic letters, whatever they may entail! 😊✨

I love this for you.

I’ve also grown through the change in the internet and social media. Can’t say that I love it….although by tween certainly does!

I post much less, try to live more in the moment, and try to appreciate the now more. Ironically, that led me to searching for this piece early this morning after only 3 hours of sleep, because I saw the notification last night and woke up afraid of missing out on something that you had written. Balance, right?

While searching for this, I stumbled upon another post with an article link ensuring book 5 will be out in 2026…so essentially this year. I’m not ready for the series to end, but I need that book!

Can’t wait to continue to read and follow whatever it is you come up with next!
